iPad Compatibility Guide
Darkboard comes in two sizes:
- Model D1: Fits the 12.9” iPad Pro (3rd - 6th generations).
- Model D2: Fits the 11” iPad Pro (1st - 4th generations) or the 10.9" iPad Air (4th - 5th generations).
Note: Darkboard does not support the iPad Mini, the 2022 10th Generation iPad, or the 2024 iPad Pro or iPad Air.
Will your iPad work with Darkboard?
- ✅ If your iPad has a USB-C charging port, it is compatible with Darkboard.
- ❌ If your iPad has a Home button, it is NOT compatible with Darkboard.

US Domestic Orders: $10 flat rate shipping; 3-5 business days
International Orders: Shipping rates will vary depending on your country and are calculated at checkout. International orders may be subject to your country's import fees, duties, taxes, and/or brokerage fees. Customers are responsible for these fees. Standard shipping orders usually take 14-21 business days to be delivered once shipped.
We do not mark packages as gifts.

The Darkboard iPad drawing stand accommodates three different setups:
Easel Setup
Perfect for drawing or writing, this setup lays your Darkboard at a comfortable 30-degree angle.
Vertical Setup
Flip your Stand around to set up your Darkboard in a vertical, desktop-like position. This is great for using your iPad as a primary or secondary monitor while working.
In Your Lap
Use your Darkboard on its own to rest comfortably in your lap. Great for drawing on the couch or in bed!

The Darkboard is the most amazing accessory I've ever purchased for the iPad, after the Apple Pencil. Basically, I stopped worrying about the surface where I rest my hand on to draw to focused solely on the creative tools. The Darkboard's material is light and very resistant, with a very well-designed stand, which allows you to use the iPad horizontally, or vertically. I even use the Darkboard to watch movies lying down, and it's much better than other stands I used before.
No notes, it’s perfect. I keep my iPad in it all day every day, it’s so light and yet so sturdy, I feel super safe leaving my iPad in Darkboard 24/7 and carrying it around, the protective sleeve is a genius addition. I only have one suggestion for the sleeve and that would be to add a handle on the horizontal side for more carrying options. Otherwise though, I have no regrets purchasing it, it’s my favourite art tool and the price is well worth it. For someone who draws all around the house and can’t be chained to a desk, it’s a lifesaver! No more awkward back pain from hunching over my iPad, easily rests on my lap or knees or even duvet! It’s great that it also comes with a stand, I don’t use it but it’s great to have the option. ✨ thanks for making it! ✨
(Although it’s not officially supported, the iPad Pro 2024 does fit, it is just a little awkward to initially put in, once it’s in it’s not going anywhere, very secure, but probably not suitable if you plan to take the iPad out much, but if you’re like me and it’s always gunna be in there, you’ll have no issues. I haven’t tried to take mine out so that’s worth noting!)
I don’t have a dedicated place to draw and tend to get those late night inspirational spark. Awesome way to get those ideas out.
