6 days time of delivery. Works perfectly via the internet connection (i use rj45 ports on apple router) on iMac 2015 retina as secondary display and mac mini M4 as primary display (unit). Low latency between both units 0,3-1,4 ms. Can use same apple magic mouse and keyboard for both computers which is quite handy. Great hardware and easy to use with dedicated software by Astropad. Well done!

The ideal solution

Having upgraded from my old iMacPro 2017 to a new M4 Pro MacBook Pro 2024, I was upset to lose the use of the beautiful 5K screen on the iMac Pro as Apple shut off the facility to use the screen as an extension display years ago. Discovering Luna has recovered the iMac screen for me. It provides me with the best possible solution to a very irritating problem and, connected with a direct ethernet cable, the second display, at full resolution is good enough (very low latency) for most uses, though not for video playback. It means I have the old iMac Pro as both a screen and, when useful, a second workstation, as switching the Luna on and off is easy and efficient. I'm a very happy and satisfied customer.

A Game-Changer for Second Life Hardware – Flawless Once Set Up!

"I am using Luna Display to turn my 2009 27-inch iMac into a second monitor for my MacBook Pro, and the result is absolutely brilliant. While I had to replace the first unit and navigate some initial manual connection hurdles (Ethernet setup), the final performance is flawless. There is zero lag, and the image quality is crisp. It’s the perfect solution for anyone wanting to give their old Mac hardware a high-quality second life. Highly recommended for its reliability once you get it running!"

Just Works

I have a 2014 MMAX Brokerage it’s a beautiful computer with a great screen. I had to upgrade it because it’s the old operating system old computer. But I really didn’t want to lose a second screen. So I bought a new iMac 24 inch and then this little device. And it’s really easy. Plug it in to the USB-C, download the software to the primary Mac, download different software to the target second display Mac. Start the software, and it finds it and it’s done. Very, very easy to set up.

The only thing that I don’t like about it is that when the primary Mac goes to sleep the secondary. Mac sits there with a little red icon like it’s looking for something. Too bad the software doesn’t allow the secondary Mac to be put to sleep as well. The only way around this, is to hit escape and exit out of the secondary Max software, which is simple enough but really shouldn’t be necessary.

What I found interesting girl is that the mouse controls both screens from the primary computer, as well as the mouse on the other computer controls both screens it’s like having to move.

And one more thing, the AI when looking for help on this site is the best I’ve ever seen.

Overall. Appear, it’s fast works great great colors and it just does the job.
