If you’ve looked at other paper-feel screen protectors, you’ve probably heard a lot of this before. Realistic, papery feel. Natural writing experience. Better control.
So, what makes Rock Paper Pencil different from all the rest?
Most matte screen protectors try to mimic a paper-feel texture by adding a rough coating to the surface.
Here’s where other solutions get it wrong:
❌ Unbalanced friction. Some screen protectors add too much resistance, so writing feels sluggish and forced. Others add too little, leaving the Apple Pencil slipping on the screen. Neither outcome feels like real paper.
❌ Awful screen clarity. Bad texture coating can cause diffraction, refraction, and blurring as light passes through the plastic, giving your display a hazy or grainy effect.
❌ Inconsistent wear over time. Some protectors wear down unevenly, leading to patchy, unpredictable resistance that ruins the writing and drawing experience.
❌ Excessive Apple Pencil wear. High-friction protectors grind down Apple Pencil tips faster, forcing you to replace them more often.
❌ Single-use application. Most protectors can only be used once, and a mistake during installation can ruin the product (bubbles, misalignment, etc.) before you even get to use it.
